Kevin is a private practice Psychologist who has extensive experience training MI in the context of addictions, corrections, psychology, brain injury, social work and health education.
In his role as trainer and learning consultant with the Paul Burke Training and Consulting Group, Kevin facilitates professional development courses in Motivational Interviewing across Canada and is respected for the way he makes learning MI fun, practical, and thought-provoking for participants from a diverse variety of backgrounds.
Kevin has more than 13 years’ experience in a variety of clinical and supervisory roles with Alberta Health Services: Alberta Alcohol and Drug Abuse Commission.
He has worked in both in inpatient and outpatient programs with substance abusing youth and their families, and designs and continues to operate an intensive adult anger management course. He developed and facilitated a Youth Anger Management Group for the Comprehensive Family Violence Institute, and has experience in the use of MI with brain injury patients. Over the past 10 years, Kevin has facilitated numerous MI workshops for psychologists, social workers, nurses, corrections staff, addictions counsellors, health educators and others.
